Your instructor Darren says It’s a been a great Journey with you as you took to driving really well and have been great every lesson. Passing his test today means James’s work can finally give him a work van and no longer have to rely on lifts to get him around!
Congratulations from all of us at Independent Driving Bournemouth.
“The main reason I choose Independent Driving School was because they were recommended to me from a friend whom had also passed through them. I was greeted by Darren who spoke me through everything I needed to know and had great patience with me. Over the course of the last few months I was helped greatly with my driving skill, attitude towards the road and everything in between. The flexibility due to my work hours and call out was brilliant and Darren managed to fit me in even if my work hours are awkward. Couldn’t have asked for anything more and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a helping hand with driving.”
Congratulations Stevey Gee from Hamworthy for passing today at the first attempt!
Instructor Darren says ‘Stevey and I have really enjoyed all of his lessons always shaking my hand and saying thank you at the end of each one. He started every lesson asking me as many questions as he could about anything he wasn’t sure of and took it all on board. Sometimes the biggest challenge of the lesson was driving in and out of Rockly Park where Stevey lives and works as an entertainer if you want to check out any of his stuff.’
“Well where do I start! After first starting learn in 2011 and not getting on with my instructor I decided once again in May to try my luck! With the ripe age of 30 approaching I got some recommendations and got in touch with Independent Driving School! I was contacted by Darren who was very informative and told me everything I needed to know.
I instantly felt at ease. I was finally going to get back behind the wheel and it felt great to know I could pass by the end of the year!
It was soon time for my first lesson and I was nervous but very excited.
I was greeted by Darren who was very friendly and informative just like his messages.
Darren was very good at explaining everything and making me feel at ease. He never made me feel stupid when I made mistakes and was always on hand with great little tips and pointers.
As the weeks went by, I started to have 4 hours a week with Darren – I started seeing him more than my girlfriend! We had similar personalities and really hit it off with some great conversations and discussions about various similar interests. This made me feel so at ease that I was picking up my new skill without really thinking about it.
It was time for my theory test and I’d been revising as hard as I could, Darren had been testing me throughout my lessons to give me some more revision time – actually being on the road and learning about the theory was really helpful.
I passed! I was over the moon and I then booked in my driving test!
I gave myself a 6 week gap, to polish up on things that I needed work on and Darren was brilliant at tailoring my lessons to exactly what I needed.
He listened to what I had to say and his co-operation and help was second to none.
By the time my test came around I felt I had done all I could and it was all about ‘on the day’ – I was nervous but excited and once again Darren made me feel at ease even just before I met the examiner. His calm and friendly approach really struck a chord with me and I will be forever grateful for that.
I passed first time with 5 minors which I was really pleased about – I really didn’t know which way it had gone.
I didn’t know whether to cry or kiss the examiner – as well as being over the moon for me, I was so pleased for Darren to as it was a reflection his hard work and dedication – I really couldn’t have done it without him.
I have taken on board all of Darren’s hints and tips and will continue to do so he is an absolute asset to Independent Driving School and anyone that has a chance to work alongside him would be very privileged.
A huge thank you to Darren – I’ve already made some short haul trips which I have really enjoyed – next stop Motorway.
A huge 10/10 from me.”
